A book and film that is believed to be based on actual facts. Christ’s closest companion was not Jesus but rather it was marry Magdalene. Yes the prostitute that he rescued. This information is of vital importance to women, who have for a long time been sidelined as religious leaders. The fact that a woman had such power is simply unacceptable to past and present religious leaders. It is believed that there are gospels written by her but are not part of the bible.
In a nutshell the story is about the Catholic Church through opus dei trying to get hold of a “holy grail” which is believed to be holding such secrets. Such information threatens the loyalty of the masses to the Catholic Church, and this is an important source of power for the Catholic Church. There is a cult that is believed to have consisted of great men like Alexander the great, Leonardo da Vinci himself, who tried to tell of these secrets in his painting. The cult was formed to protect these secrets. And the interesting part is that if the facts are really true, than there are descendants of Jesus.
The movie is worth watching, but reading the book itself is even better, it’s more detailed. While reading it keep in mind it is based on actual facts.
SO WHY IS IT NOT BANNED?
If they ban it then people will question if there is some truth in it that that Catholics are trying to protect.
